Job summary

MDAEdge in Cincinnati seeks a dual role manager and engineer to staff, develop, and drive a team of engineers and designers. You will apply mechanical engineering principles to design and maintain FOS product lines through new development and sustain production within a multidisciplinary group.

The role requires adherence to design guidelines and quality standards, collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams, and the ability to troubleshoot issues, document changes, and lead design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD tools Solid Edge, SolidWorks or NX.
• Strong GD&T experience per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers.
• Staffing, workforce planning, and performance management.
• Define and improve development processes and best practices.
• Lead mechanical design and ensure product performance and compliance.
• Support production with issue troubleshooting and design updates.
• Apply GD&T, perform tolerancing analyzes, and drive design reviews.
• Develop designs across new product development and legacy support.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and quality to resolve nonconformances.
