Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for Lunar Systems in Mojave, CA. You will lead a team responsible for primary/secondary structure and mechanisms, coordinate tasks, and ensure CAD analysis and test plans meet stringent standards.

Relocation support is available. A MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred, with 5 years of related experience in aerospace hardware development and an ability to travel up to 5% across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience in the mechanical or Aerospace field.
• Experience designing structural and mechanism components and assemblies.
• Knowledge of how to analyze components to harsh environments (vibration, shock, acoustic).
• Manage vendors to procure components, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers for primary/secondary structure and mechanisms
• Coordinate day-to-day tasks across the team
• Develop and ensure tools, methods, and best practices are followed
• Review technical content, such as CAD drawings, analysis, and test reports meet standards
• Create and execute test plans and document the results
• Create designs, analysis and test plans
• Manage vendors to procure components, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met
• Present programmatic and technical content
