Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Mojave, California, seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for Lunar Systems to design, analyze, and build primary and secondary structures for spaceflight hardware.

You will lead a team of engineers, coordinate tasks, review CAD/analysis, and develop test plans to validate designs. Relocation assistance is provided for qualified candidates, and travel remains limited.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years in the mechanical or Aerospace field.
• Experience designing structural and mechanism components.
• Knowledge of how to analyze components to harsh environments (vibration, shock, acoustic).
• Manage vendors to procure components, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers for primary/secondary structure and mechanisms.
• Coordinate day-to-day tasks across the team.
• Develop and ensure tools, methods, and best practices are followed.
• Review CAD drawings, analyses, and test reports meet standards.
• Create and execute test plans and document the results.
• Create designs, analysis and test plans.
• Manage vendors to procure components, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
• Present programmatic and technical content.
