Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Mojave, California, is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for Lunar Systems to lead a team responsible for primary and secondary structures and mechanisms, coordinating daily tasks and ensuring standards are met.

The role reports to the Structures, Analysis, and Mechanism Manager within the Propulsion and Test Department and is onsite or hybrid with up to 5% travel. A B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years in aerospace are required; MS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience in the mechanical or aerospace field.
• Experience designing structural and mechanism components and assemblies.
• Knowledge of analyzing components to harsh environments (vibration, shock, acoustic).
• Experience in vendor management to procure components, ensuring cost, quality and schedule objectives are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers for primary/secondary structure and mechanisms.
• Coordinate day-to-day tasks across the team.
• Develop and ensure tools, methods, and best practices are followed.
• Review CAD drawings, analyses, and test reports for standards compliance.
• Create and execute test plans and document results.
