Job summary

SPX Technologies, a global leader in HVAC and Detection and Measurement, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership in design, analysis and optimization of hydronic boiler systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure development and lifecycle support of high‑quality products.

Qualifications

• 7 years of progressive mechanical engineering in design, development or sustaining engineering.
• Experience in boilers, hydronic systems or similar heating systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) for 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, test and development of mechanical systems and components for hydronic boilers (boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, controls).
• Drive design changes through engineering change management while ensuring product quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead engineering activities related to product enhancements, lifecycle management, value engineering, quality improvements, and regulatory updates.
• Analyze and interpret test data; modify designs to meet performance and safety requirements.
• Work with designers on layouts, drawings, parts specifications, and BOMs for the product.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for complex product, manufacturing, supplier, or field issues.
• Create 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software, ensuring adherence to standards.
