Salas O’Brien in Greenwood Village, CO, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Mid to Senior) to lead HVAC design for healthcare, higher education, mission critical, and commercial facilities. You will guide system selection from concept through construction, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality designs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 5–15 years of design experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, codes, standards and guidelines.
• LEED or similar sustainable design certification is a differentiator.
• Experience leading a multi-discipline design team is a differentiator.

Responsabilidades

• Lead HVAC system concepts, evaluations, selections and designs based on project requirements and energy considerations.
• Develop technically sound solutions for complex mechanical systems including central plants and electrification.
• Translate engineering concepts into clear recommendations for non-engineers.
• Perform load and energy calculations using TRACE 3D Plus and IES.
• Mentor engineers and designers on calculations, equipment selection and documentation.
• QA/QC reviews of calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical deliverables.
• Prepare engineering reports, system studies, narratives and project specifications.
• Develop control diagrams and sequences of operations for unique systems.
• Conduct building surveys and prioritize upgrades.
