Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER Sector Integration division seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer in Pleasanton, CA to own the complete mechanical design cycle for EDLC modules and components. You will develop CAD models, drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks and ENOVIA, and work with global teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability.

Responsibilities include packaging for up to 1500 VDC, DFx-driven design, prototype builds, and manufacturing transfer.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in product development or related fields.
Experience with high-voltage packages, insulation, creepage, clearance and grounding up to 1500 VDC.
DFMEA/PFMEA, tolerance reviews, and manufacturability assessments.

Responsibilities

Lead hands-on mechanical design of EDLC modules and internal components, packs and high-voltage racks.
Own full mechanical product development cycle from requirements to mass production.
Develop 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, specs and release docs using SolidWorks and ENOVIA.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers for integration and transfer to production.
Support high-voltage system packaging, thermal management, insulation, grounding, and serviceability.
Lead prototype builds, pilot builds, and manufacturing transfer; travel up to 15%.
