Komatsu invites a Mechanical Engineer to join the Design Team in Franklin, PA. This onsite role leads small teams and drives design evaluations, testing, and field investigations to improve performance and reduce costs for mining equipment.

The candidate will support design reviews, collaborate with suppliers, and ensure compliance with global standards. Requirements include a BS in Engineering and 4 years of design experience; CAD proficiency and Lean/Change Management experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering required.
• 4 years' experience in engineering design, machine application, mining industry desired.
• CAD tools experience desired.
• Lean Engineering principles and Change Management experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise small groups in engineering tasks and project support.
• Review designs for cost reduction and performance improvements.
• Determine causes of field problems and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers on changes and new requirements.
