Job summary

Raytheon in TEWKSBURY, MA is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, development, and documentation of components and major end items. You will oversee cross-functional teams, act as the technical focal point, and support integration with domestic and international factories and suppliers.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience (or an advanced degree with 5+ years), proficiency in CREO/ProE, PDM systems, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience from concept to production sustainment and crossover teams.
• Proficiency in mechanical design, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (CREO/ProE) and large assembly management.
• Experience with Product Data Management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and end items.
• Oversee cross-functional engineering teams as technical execution lead.
• Serve as technical focal point for mechanical and cross-functional teams.
• Support product integration with domestic and international factories and suppliers.
• Collaborate with engineering and non-engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Work independently to meet schedule, cost, and technical commitments.
• Participate in design peer reviews and conduct trade studies.
• Apply mechanical engineering knowledge to solve fast-paced problems.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
