Job summary

Lanco Group of Companies is seeking a principal-level technical leader for the Structural & Cab Engineering Team in Hazel Crest, IL. The role provides senior technical leadership and succession capability, driving complex mechanical and structural design and translating direction into executable plans.

Responsibilities include leading design for new and existing products, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to ensure alignment with business

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree in mechanical/structural discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience leading complex technical projects.
• Strong CAD skills in 3D/2D; Inventor/AutoCAD/SolidWorks required.
• Experience in heavy equipment and machine design.
• Experience in structured release environment with ECNs and product documentation.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for new and existing products, aligning with objectives.
• Act as SME for complex mechanical/structural systems.
• Develop and review drawings with annotations, tolerances, welds, and finishes.
• Lead projects, identify risks, and guide milestones.
• Mentor engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, QA, supply chain, vendors.
