Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer (MBD) in Windsor, CT who will manage the design and development of mechanical systems to meet customer requirements. You will create 3D models using Siemens NX and apply model-based definition to support prototyping and validation.

The role requires 6–9 years of mechanical design experience, proficiency in CAD tools (NX preferred) such as AutoCAD/SolidWorks, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6-9 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (NX preferred) including AutoCAD/SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and development of mechanical systems to meet customer requirements.
• Create 3D models with Siemens NX using model-based definition.
• Conduct feasibility studies, trade studies, and prototyping.
• Analyze designs for strength, durability, and performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams including manufacturing and suppliers.
• Support production, testing, and validation of prototypes and final products.
• Continuously improve design processes and methods.
• Stay current with industry standards and regulations.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
• Represent the company in customer and industry meetings.
