Job summary

SoloPoint Solutions, Inc. is seeking a seasoned mechanical design engineer to develop and release components and assemblies for manufacturing, using Siemens NX as the primary tool. This role emphasizes drawing creation and BOM control while supporting production and design reviews.

The ideal candidate brings experience with electrical/pneumatic harness routing and multi-CAD layouts, along with a strong grasp of GD&T and ASME standards, and practical metalworking exposure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical design and engineering in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with CAD in Siemens NX; SolidWorks or Creo acceptable.
• Knowledge of GD&T, ASME standards, welding symbols, and BOM management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release mechanical components and assemblies using CAD to support manufacturing activities.
• Create 3D electrical and pneumatic harness routing models for complex systems.
• Manage multi-CAD layouts for product development and oversee large assemblies.
• Participate in design reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Support production through detailed drawings, BOM generation, and engineering change management.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering within manufacturing environments Siemens NX, would consider candidate with SolidWorks or Creo Experience with cable routing in CAD, electrical and pneumatic harness design a plus Hands-on experience with mechanical component development, drawings, and BOM management Experience with metal machining, sheet metal fabrication, and casting processes Knowledge of engineering drawing standards including GD&T, welding symbols, and ASME standards Strong problem solving and design development skills
