Job summary

Find Great People | FGP is seeking two hands-on Mechanical Design Engineers to take products from concept to production. You will lead projects, develop manufacturable SolidWorks designs, and deliver detailed drawings and documentation.

The role emphasizes independent project leadership in a manufacturing setting, collaboration with suppliers and customers, and a focus on performance, reliability, and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of mechanical design and product development experience.
• 8+ years of SolidWorks experience.
• Proven experience leading projects from concept through production.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, DFM, DFA, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development projects from concept through production launch.
• Create innovative and manufacturable mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
• Develop 3D models, assemblies, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, and cross-functional project teams.
• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and design reviews.
• Drive product validation activities, testing, and continuous design improvements.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production and assembly issues.
• Support sustaining engineering initiatives and product enhancements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure successful project execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
