Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to design, analyze, and develop mechanical components and structures for industrial, offshore, and defense-related applications. You will perform FEA and hand calculations, create production drawings, and lead design efforts while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Master's in Mechanical Eng with 2+ years, or Bachelor's with 3+ years, or 8+ years direct experience.
• Proven experience in mechanical component and structural design.
• CAD proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with FEA and GD&T; strong communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs from concept to production drawings.
• Lead design and analysis efforts and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with operations, manufacturing, quality, and vendors.
• Support test plans, material specs, and MRB activities.
• Travel up to 5–10%, including occasional international trips.
