Job summary

Grunau, a division of APi Group, is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Mechanical Construction group in Oak Creek, WI. This leadership role directs design and engineering for design-build and plan-and-spec projects, mentoring engineers and coordinating with project managers and external partners to ensure technically sound solutions.

You will establish standards, review designs, and drive VE ideas with the estimating team, while collaborating with sales to pursue technical opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop junior and design engineers.
• Maintain and manage the engineering design calendar and project milestones.
• Prioritize workloads for the engineering team to align with goals.
• Engage third-party engineering and design firms to supplement internal capacity.
• Collaborate with sales teams to support technical strategy and value engineering.
• Oversee design-build efforts to meet client expectations.
• Lead ongoing education and training for the engineering team.
• Support business development by communicating design value to clients.
• Ensure project constructability and resolve design/coordination issues.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and design processes.
