Job summary

OSI Engineering, Inc. is seeking a senior industrial design and mechanical engineering leader to take a noninvasive brain-computer interface wearable from concept to shipped product.

You will own industrial design end-to-end, package electronics into soft goods, and define the design language for daily wear. Based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model (up to 5 onsite days during peak build), the role offers $150K–$180K base, plus $75K–$90K equity and a bonus, along with health insurance and

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial design and/or mechanical engineering for consumer wearables
• Hands-on experience integrating electronics into soft goods
• Expert CAD and rendering proficiency
• Structured wear testing for comfort across users
• Experience with overseas contract manufacturers and DfM

Responsibilities

• Own industrial and mechanical design end-to-end, sketches, CAD, prototypes, tooling, and DfM with overseas CM
• Package electronics into soft goods: flex PCB and rigid-island placement, transitions, weight distribution, thermal management
• Define and validate comfort through pressure mapping, weight balance, skin-contact limits, breathability, long-wear testing
• Set the product’s design language and materials: fabrics, seams, transitions, aesthetics
• Lead external textile, mechanical, and electronics CM teams and build the in-house design function
