Job summary

Regal Rexnord in Arlington, TX seeks an experienced Lead Mechanical Assembler to provide technical leadership for mechanical assembly of switchgear and power distribution products. This role blends hands-on work with coaching, training, and process improvement to elevate assembler capability at the Arlington facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 4+ years of mechanical assembly experience.
• Able to read engineering drawings and mechanical blueprints.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and torque equipment.
• Experience reading BOMs.
• Strong troubleshooting and coaching ability.
• Prior lead assembler experience preferred.
• Switchgear or electrical equipment manufacturing experience preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing training preferred.
• Experience supporting plant start-ups or new product launches preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for mechanical assembly operations.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, and BOMs.
• Support complex assemblies and troubleshooting.
• Verify products meet requirements.
• Assist with assembly techniques.
• Train new assemblers on standards.
• Cross-train employees across processes.
• Evaluate skill development and training needs.
• Encourage continuous learning.
• Support daily production goals and workflow.
• Resolve material, process, and assembly issues.
• Assist with manpower planning and resource allocation.
• Ensure standard work is followed.
• Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop visual standards and standardized work.
