Job summary

The Class Produce Group is seeking a Lead Mechanic to lead a maintenance team in a high-speed food processing facility, performing advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on diverse equipment including conveyors, sealers, pumps, and PLC-controlled systems.

You will guide and train mechanics, coordinate PM schedules, assist with changeovers, and ensure safety, GMP, and food safety standards are met while collaborating with production and automation vendors.

Qualifications

Must have strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge.
Experience with PLCs, VFDs and automation equipment.
3 years of multi-skill maintenance in manufacturing; 4 years in lead production role.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Guide mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs on processing equipment.
Audit and assign PMs for maintenance.
Train other maintenance mechanics and assist with changeovers and set-ups.
Dismantle and replace defective parts; ensure safety, GMP and food safety standards.
