Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of progressively responsible mechanical experience.
• Waste and recycling industry experience preferred.
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, tests and repairs vehicles and heavy landfill equipment.
• Performs basic fabrication work using welding equipment.
• Acts as a lead worker instructing and directing others.

Skills

Mechanical experience as a journeyman mechanic

Knowledge of diesel and CNG engines

Ability to work any assigned shift

Ability to work under pressure

Effective communication skills

Education

High school diploma or GED

Graduation from a mechanical trade school

Tools

Welding equipment

Basic computer programs
