Job summary

Radius Recycling seeks a skilled Mechanic II to repair and maintain heavy equipment, ensuring safety and environmental standards are met. You will diagnose faults, read manuals and blueprints, and ensure repairs meet manufacturers’ specifications.

The role requires 5 years of experience in skilled trades maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Associates degree in a related field and extra experience are favored.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
5 years of experience assisting skilled trades in repair/maintenance of heavy equipment.
Associate degree in Heavy Duty Truck or Heavy Equipment Repair plus 2 years relevant experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
Read operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Diagnose faults using engine diagnostic equipment and calibration devices.
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
Test machinery after repair to verify performance and compliance with specifications.
Record repairs and maintenance performed.
Provide assistance throughout the yard as needed.
