Job summary

Radius Recycling Industries, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic II Field to diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair heavy mobile equipment, trucks, and industrial machinery. You will identify root causes, complete repairs, and uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental standards across the site.

The role offers competitive pay of $40–$50 per hour, along with benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off from the first check, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3–4 years of experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment, heavy trucks, or related systems.
• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a medical certificate.
• Ability to use or learn automated systems for activities such as electronic logs, training, or others as needed to meet business requirements.
• Ability to meet Fleet Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment failures and determine corrective actions.
• Perform advanced mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical repairs.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance activities with minimal supervision.
• Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic equipment.
• Validate equipment performance after repairs. Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Provide informal guidance to developing mechanics.
• Performs special projects or other duties as needed or assigned.
• This position will be designated as a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) role; candidates must obtain CMV credentials within a specified timeframe.
