Job summary

Jefferson County in Golden, CO, is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to manage maintenance, repair, and lifecycle of a diverse fleet including gas, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles. You will diagnose issues, perform engine/transmission work, and uphold records with fleet software to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.

The role operates Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm on site at the Golden fleet shop, with a starting hourly wage of $30.00–$35.00, DOE, plus benefits and retirement matching.

Qualifications

• One year work related experience.
• CDL may be required within one year of employment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing vehicles, including major engine adjustments and rebuilds.
• Repairing drive train, brakes, steering and other components.
• Replacing vehicle operating systems and tuning engines.
• Maintaining service records and fleet data.
• Coordinate and prioritize service and repair activities to maximize fleet availability.
