Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service is seeking a Lead Mechanic for the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the Dorsey Run Wastewater Treatment Plant. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment across MES facilities statewide, including BWI and Martin State Airports.

This 24/7 emergency essential field office requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and adverse weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus seven years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment.
• Ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance.
• Must have a valid driver's license with fewer than 5 points.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform confined space entry.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment used for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects at MES facilities statewide.
• Work at the Dorsey Run site and other MES locations including BWI and Martin State Airports.
• Be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather as this is a 24/7 emergency essential facility.

Responsibilities include performing installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment used for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects at MES operated facilities throughout the state including BWI and Martin State Airports.This field office is a designated 24/7 emergency essential facility.
