Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration seeks a Staff Systems Engineer (Lead) to guide a regional SE team and drive model‑based system architecture for the C2BMC program. The role emphasizes hands‑on engineering, requirements decomposition, and interface documentation, with frequent collaboration across government and industry partners.

Based in Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO, the position requires a current security clearance and an active IAT Level II certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM fields with 12 years’ experience, or Master’s with 10 years, or PhD with 8 years
• Active Government-Issued 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher
• Active Secret clearance at start
• MBSE background with SysML/UML modeling and architecture development

Responsibilities

• Lead regional SE team (~30 engineers) and execute core engineering tasks
• Set technical priorities and conduct rigorous reviews
• Hands-on production and review of requirements, architecture, and interfaces
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure traceable requirements
• Collaborate with government, DoD, and industry partners
• Deliver clear briefings and recommendations to senior leaders
