Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer to join a mission-oriented federal team. You will lead MBSE efforts, develop SysML models for architecture and requirements, and coordinate between digital engineering, requirements, and modeling disciplines to deliver advanced missile defense capabilities.

The role emphasizes adopting modern MBSE practices, guiding the A-BD System model, and ensuring the integration of diverse technical and operational functions to support warfighter advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field and 5+ years of professional experience.
• Active Secret clearance is required for the role.
• Newly-hired PhD graduates are typically hired into this level.
• Proficiency with MS Office and collaboration tools like Jira/Confluence/Teams.
• Missile system experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads pilot efforts to incorporate MBSE and digital engineering into A-BD system.
• Develops a SysML A-BD System model for architecture, requirements, and verification.
• Oversees representations within the A-BD System model and acts as liaison between digital engineering, requirements engineering, and modelers.
• Provides implementation guidance and facilitates interaction between communities.
• Oversees SysML model of the A-BD Engineering organization and its processes.
• Drives the continuous digital transformation of the fleet's premier combat system.
• Leads integration of technical, operational, and intelligence functions to keep Aegis-Based Defense effective.
• Leads adoption of modern MBSE frameworks and tools.
