Job summary

A leading educational franchise is seeking a Lead Math Instructor/Tutor to transform the lives of students in grades 2-12. The role offers flexible, part-time hours after school and on weekends in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include delivering individualized instruction, assessing student progress, and communicating with parents. Ideal candidates will have a passion for math, exceptional math skills up to Algebra I, and excellent interpersonal abilities. Compensation is $15.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Communicate student progress with parents and guardians
• Teach/tutor in‑center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

Must be available to work Monday-Thursday 3-7 PM, Saturday 10-2 PM and Sunday 1-5 PM. I do not expect someone to work all six days. You can work as little as three days a week or as much as six days a week.

This is a year-round job, so I am looking for someone to work during the summers and winter breaks.

Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing, LLC ("Mathnasium"). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center, the franchisee will be your employer, not Mathnasium.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
