Job summary

Mathnasium, The Math Learning Center, is seeking a Lead Math Instructor to help children in our community. This in-person, part-time role offers after-school and weekend shifts, with opportunities for growth and leadership development across multiple centers.

You will teach using the Mathnasium Method, work with a supportive team, assess progress, and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment while handling light administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Math proficiency through Algebra I.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Eagerness to learn and be trained.
• Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities.
• Math literacy test, background check required.

Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or hybrid using the Mathnasium Method™.
• Collaborate with team to deliver individualized instruction.
• Assess students’ progress and engagement during sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
• Maintain a safe and professional learning environment.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

What You Will Do...

As an Instructor, you will be a passionate and outgoing individual who will positively impact the community by creating a welcoming environment for our students and families. Candidates will be trained to provide effective and concise math instruction. You will motivate and inspire students to learn by creating an engaging, positive and productive learning environment while establishing a high level of confidence and program value. Instructors will assist in evaluating and tracking the progress of each student through effective communication with the Center Manager and staff, as well as perform operational functions as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

Position: Lead Math Instructor

Job Type: In-Person, Part-Time, 3 Shifts per week

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
