INDOT's La Porte facility seeks a Testing Laboratory Supervisor to oversee soils and aggregate testing, staff supervision, and equipment calibration. You will ensure accurate results, compliance with standards, and timely reporting. The role requires leadership, lab expertise, and onsite work in La Porte.

The position emphasizes guiding technicians, coordinating testing activities, and maintaining safety and quality across all lab operations. CDL is required or must be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and staff-coaching abilities.
• Extensive experience in laboratory testing with data review and quality control.
• Proven ability to ensure safety and regulatory compliance in a lab.
• Experience training technicians and coordinating testing projects.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, ASTM and Indiana Test Method standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of soils and aggregate testing labs.
• Manage staff assignments, calibration, maintenance, and data review.
• Ensure testing systems meet calibration, safety, and project scope requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and training to laboratory staff.
