Job summary

The State of Indiana, through the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), is seeking a Testing Operations Technician to collect material samples, repair, calibrate, and transport testing equipment in Flora, IN. The role is full-time, combining field and office work with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualified candidates should have a valid CDL (within 90 days), be able to pass a drug test, and meet physical requirements (lifting up to 50 pounds) while following INDOT guidelines and

Qualifications

• CDL within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local highway guidelines and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a field crew.
• Must endure exposure to inclement weather.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway maintenance and traffic equipment.
• Perform snow and ice removal during winter operations.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain signs, markers, and pavement markings.
• Respond to emergencies including traffic control and incident sites.
• Attend worksite as assigned and ensure tasks are completed as directed.
• Work in field and office environments as needed.
