Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Lead- Materials for 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) to oversee production activities in a manufacturing environment in the United States. The role focuses on safe, efficient, and accurate execution of processes, with involvement in lean initiatives and supervision of a shift team.

Responsibilities include coordinating with maintenance, ensuring adherence to procedures, and providing input on performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools.
• Ability to work under limited supervision on non-routine situations.
• Experience training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower level employees.
• Problem solving for non-routine but not complex tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and organizes all operation activities during normal production for responsible area.
• Leads all team members to implement production safely, efficiently, and accurately based on safety regulations, standard operating procedures, checklists, quality standards, production plans, etc.
• Assists with implementation of lean methodology and/or health, safety & environment practices.
• Coordinates maintenance issues with the maintenance department and oversees safety during maintenance if necessary.
• Works with other personnel to complete equipment isolation, flushing, replacement, inspection, commissioning, etc.
• Communicates with team members on all issues.
• Provides performance evaluation input to supervisor.
• May work as a backup to positions in a shift group.
