Job summary

CTL|Thompson, Inc. is seeking a Materials Laboratory Manager in Denver, CO for full-time employment. The role conducts laboratory observations, tests, and oversight, coordinating with engineers and field personnel to ensure quality and safety.

The position includes managing equipment calibration, inventory, and approvals, plus timecard oversight and coordination of schedules. A strong emphasis on environmental safety and regulatory compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Requires supervisory experience in a lab setting.
• Minimum five years field and laboratory testing methods experience.
• Familiar with laboratory accreditation processes (AMRL/CCRL).
• Experience with safety and PPE requirements in geotechnical labs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling and daily workflow with Project Managers.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe lab environment.
• Provide performance evaluations.
• Approve or decline timecards and time off requests.
• Perform laboratory tests per specified standards.
• Manage laboratory testing workflow in SpectraQest.
• Review test results and outputs in SpectraQest.
• Lead accreditation and proficiency testing programs.
