Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead testing operations at the Lakewood, CO office. You will manage staff, oversee asphalt, soil, aggregate, and concrete testing programs, develop mix designs, and maintain AMRL/CCRL accreditations.

You will ensure safety, quality, and client-focused solutions across projects. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction materials testing or geotechnical fields, strong leadership, and foundational knowledge of ASTM/AASHTO codes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience in construction materials testing or geotechnical fields.
• 5+ years staff management experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, and CDOT codes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and reports.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory testing services and staff in the Lakewood office.
• Develop asphalt, soil, aggregate, and concrete testing schedules and mix designs.
• Oversee testing programs and prepare client reports.
• Coordinate with clients to understand needs and services offered.
• Troubleshoot field and lab testing issues to ensure quality outcomes.
• Ensure accreditation maintenance for AMRL and CCRL, on schedule.
• Uphold safety, PPE usage, and Quality Management System requirements.
