Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT, is seeking a senior engineer to lead aerospace manufacturing process qualifications in a hybrid role. You will collaborate across Engineering, Procurement and Quality to secure approvals for machining and special processes, manage schedules, and document performance with technical reports.

The role requires a technical Bachelor's in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering with 5–8+ years in quality or manufacturing, and familiarity with

Competenze

• Technical Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality, engineering, manufacturing, materials, or aerospace functions.

Mansioni

• Execute Engineering Source Approval activities for conventional machining and special processes such as milling, turning, grinding, drilling, broaching, welding, brazing, and surface treatments.
• Collaborate with supplier engineering teams and internal Engineering, Procurement, and Quality to complete process approvals, evaluate changes, and resolve technical variations.
• Manage approval schedules and resources to ensure timely, rigorous, and compliant qualifications of aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Review and validate process operation sheets, process monitoring methods, NDE techniques, and destructive metallurgical testing results.
• Analyze and document process performance, prepare technical reports, and develop standard work to strengthen manufacturing consistency.
