Job summary

ND Paper is seeking a Lead Material Handler in Sturtevant, WI to direct the material handling crew and ensure smooth operation of the converting and corrugator lines. You will coordinate coverage across takeoffs and bays, train new handlers, and act as the first escalation point for material flow and load-out issues on the shift.

Responsibilities include building and prioritizing loads, supervising bay space, and ensuring accurate paperwork and inventory moves.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as a Material Handler or equivalent forklift/clamp truck role required; corrugated, packaging, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Valid forklift certification required (or ability to obtain promptly upon hire).
• Basic math skills for counting, verifying loads, and reading pick tickets/BOLs.

Responsibilities

• Direct material handling crew to move finished product, raw materials, and scrap without interrupting lines.
• Coordinate coverage across takeoffs and bays, prioritize loads, and train handlers.
• Ensure loads are built accurately and on schedule; assist with loading/unloading when needed.
• Maintain safe, organized bays and staging areas; monitor quality and counts.
• Escalate issues to Shift Supervisor and communicate priorities to crew.
