Job summary

You will mentor colleagues, handle line schedules, and ensure proper use of equipment and compliance with FDA/USDA/BRC standards.

The role requires leadership, technical aptitude, and the ability to train staff and backfill responsibilities as needed, including weekend hours if required.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or related packaging/distribution environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FDA, USDA and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to mentor and train others effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor by monitoring material handling metrics and implement improvements.
• Create schedules and direct workflow for production lines and staff.
• Train new material handling colleagues and ensure safe equipment use.
• Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and regulatory changes.
• Support performance appraisals and discuss development with HR.
• Participate in team meetings and support quality and CI initiatives.
