LanceSoft is seeking a Lab Support Specialist to join Unity Lab Services on an onsite, 3-month contract. You will be the primary contact for lab personnel, ensuring compliance and efficient support to meet client needs.

Responsibilities include labware handling, inventory management, gas cylinder orders, and adherence to SOPs. Strong communication, leadership potential, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Shift Wednesday - Saturday, 2nd shift 1PM - 11: 30 PM Duration: 03 Months Pay range:$29.10 Hourly -$29.10 Hourly Onsite Job Client Impactful Work: Join our dedicated team in Unity Lab Services as a Lab Support Specialist, where we provide seamless support tailored to our customers'unique needs. You'll be the primary point of contact for lab personnel, ensuring compliance and efficiency in all support activities.

A day in the Life: Perform labware operations, including precision cleaning, inventory management, and quality control. Handle gas cylinder orders, manage gas meters, and safely handle HAZMAT materials. Collect and restock labware/materials, ensuring consistent supply and safe storage of dry ice, garments, and gas. Partner with clients to understand and meet their labware and material needs. Follow procedures outlined by Best Practices, SOPs, and Work Instructions. Maintain accurate inventory records, fulfill contractual obligations, and assist in supervising business metrics. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Keys to Success

• Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience 2-3 years Good x Practice (GxP) environment or laboratory setting experience required.
• Proven record of leading and mentoring teams, formally or informally.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a safety-first approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and delegate tasks to others.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

The role primarily involves working independently at customer sites, which may include areas with chemical-based allergens like penicillin and tetracycline. Personal protective equipment, such as lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, and steel-toe shoes, is often required. The position requires regular lifting of 30-40 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and using equipment like pushcarts and forklifts to move up to 100 lbs(forklift is trainable if needed). Standing, walking, reaching, and bending are frequent activities, sometimes in varied temperature environments.
