Job summary

Peninsula Family Service seeks a Master Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The Teacher aide supports social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development, while engaging families and meeting state regulations.

The role reports to the Site Manager and requires a Master Teacher permit, multiple ECE units, and extensive classroom experience. Bilingual skills are valued but not required.

Qualifications

• Master Teacher permit issued by CTC is required.
• Minimum of 24 ECE/CD units with three units in Infant/toddler development.
• 16 general education units.
• 6+ adult supervision units.
• BA degree in Child Development, ECE or closely related field.
• 350 days of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom leadership and mentor curriculum fidelity.
• Model best practices and prepare/execute lesson plans.
• Maintain documentation on observations and child portfolios.
• Support children’s development and family engagement.
• Ensure safety, licensing and Head Start health standards.
• Collaborate with staff and specialists for IFSP and program outcomes.
• Complete required professional development and maintain confidentiality.
