Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is seeking a full-time Master Teacher for our early learning programs. The Master Teacher provides instructional strategies, classroom management, assessment, and research for children ages 3-5, in a positive, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities include planning, curriculum implementation, and learning experiences that foster social-emotional development, problem solving, and readiness for school, while ensuring a safe environment and meeting funding and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• PEL certification or equivalent will be considered.
• ECE certification or CDA credential favorable.
• Experience aligning curriculum with state/federal standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily lessons and curriculum.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom climate.
• Assess and support social-emotional and academic development.
• Engage families through regular communication and home visits.
• Maintain records, attendance, and program documentation.
• Collaborate with staff to meet program goals and standards.
