Job summary

The University of Akron is seeking a Master Plumber to lead plumbing operations on campus, perform skilled repairs and installations, and supervise a small team. You will coordinate with other trades to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ohio Driver’s License required.
• Backflow Tester certification preferred.
• 8+ years plumbing experience or completion of a 3-year apprenticeship program.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and read/write English.
• Experience leading others preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled plumbing repairs and installations.
• Lead and train nonexempt staff in proper methods.
• Plan, inspect, and maintain plumbing systems.
• Complete work orders and time/material usage reports.
• Coordinate with other trades and University departments.
