Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Master Trades Specialist (Plumber) to perform complex repairs and installations on university facilities. The ideal candidate will have specialized plumbing training, relevant experience, and the ability to read blueprints. Responsibilities include estimating material needs, maintaining tools, and serving as a resource for other staff. This role requires a valid driver's license and offers a pay rate of $26.40 per hour with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Requires nine months training beyond high school in a skilled trade.
• Three years of experience in that trade or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• For AQT positions, EPA Universal Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews job orders and blueprints; inspects site and consults with client.
• Estimates materials and equipment needed for projects.
• Performs complex repairs or installations using plumbing expertise.
• Serves as informational resource to other staff.
• Maintains and cleans tools and equipment.

Knowledge of skilled trade procedures

Mechanical aptitude
