Job summary

The University of Akron invites applications for a Master Plumber role within its facilities services. You will perform skilled plumbing repairs, oversee installations, inspect systems, order parts, and train staff as a team leader.

Responsibilities include leading a crew, completing work orders, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating with other trades, departments and contractors. A high school diploma or GED and a valid Ohio driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a 3-year UA Apprenticeship or a State Approved program or 8 years plumbing experience.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License; Backflow Tester/Fire Suppression certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform skilled plumbing repairs and installations.
• Inspect systems, order parts, and oversee projects.
• Train and guide other staff; coordinate with other trades and departments.
