Job summary

Harris Companies, inc in Fargo, ND seeks a Master Electrician to lead field installations of low voltage building automation systems. You will plan layouts, install wiring, coordinate with our project management team, and mentor junior electricians on site.

This lead role offers autonomy, budget oversight, safety leadership, and opportunities across a range of facilities. Company vehicle, tools, and ongoing education are provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Active Master Electrician license (renewals covered by the company).
• 5+ years of experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• 5+ years of experience with test equipment, including multimeters and digital analyzers.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operation manuals.
• Proficient knowledge of building codes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and equipment based on job specifications and local codes.
• Connect wires to electrical components as needed for a complete and operational system.
• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits using ohmmeters/voltmeters for safety and compatibility.
• Use power tools, measuring devices and testing equipment.
• Install conduit, pipes or tubing and pull wires to complete circuits.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs for installation and repairs.
• Ensure personal and team safety on jobs and perform pre-task planning.
