Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mass properties, weight and balance for modification programs.
• Experience leading complex technical tasks with minimal oversight.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; able to use CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Willing to travel to flight line and work in aircraft hangar environments.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead mass properties analyses, weight control activities, and reporting for major aircraft modifications using CAD tools, Excel, and engineering systems.
• Calculate and estimate component weights, moment arms, and mass moments of inertia from drawings, CAD models, vendor data, and aircraft records.
• Evaluate weight and balance impacts from multiple modifications and develop aircraft mass distributions for loads development.
• Establish and maintain weight control plans, target allocations, and status reporting for weight-critical programs.
• Prepare aircraft weight charts, inventories, and engineering reports documenting analytical results and weighings.
• Lead mass properties tasks across contracts and coordinate with design, structural, loads, manufacturing, flight test, and certification teams.
