Job summary

L3Harris MMG Division in Waco, TX is seeking a Mass Properties Engineer to perform analyses related to aircraft modification programs. You will document the impact of modifications on mass properties and produce thorough reports.

You will participate in program teams, support test events, weigh parts, and assist other engineers. Travel and variable shifts may be required to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of related experience; graduate degree with 4+ years; or 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 4 years experience with Aircraft Weight & Balance: weight analysis, logbooks, CG plotting, weighing of parts and full aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Perform mass properties analyses for aircraft modification programs and document impacts on aircraft mass properties.
• Prepare detailed analyses and well-written reports; present results to program teams and customers.
• Support test events, weighings, and data collection; assist other engineers as needed.
• Represent Mass Properties Group in meetings and maintain timely documentation.
