Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to defend the company in state and federal court, arbitrations, and related proceedings, with a focus on keeping matters in-house to reduce external costs.

The role involves managing all facets of litigation from inception through trial, drafting pleadings, taking depositions, and advising senior management on strategy while complying with maritime law including the Jones Act.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate degree required and admission to the Florida Bar.
2–5 years of experience in major law firm or legal department handling all aspects of litigation.
Background in General U.S. Maritime Law, including the Jones Act.

Responsibilities

Litigate personal injury cases from inception through trial.
Draft pleadings and motions to defend the company's position.
Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, medical providers, and experts.
Provide updates to P&I clubs on case status and strategy.
Manage litigation files and determine depositions, motions, and overall strategy.
Conduct mediations to resolve cases and reduce liability.
Perform legal research to support the company's position.
Handle subpoenas, writs of garnishments, and other tasks as needed.
