Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Reactor Physics, Health Physics, or radiation transport.
• Hands-on experience with continuous-energy Monte-Carlo transport and criticality codes.
• Radiation-transport shielding experience using variance reduction tools.
• Experience with lattice-physics or depletion codes.
• Proficiency with nuclide inventory and decay tools.
• Deep understanding of NUREG-0800 SRP sections 4.2, 4.3, 9.1.1, 11.1, 12.2–12.5.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neutronics support, establishing core geometry, enrichment, lattice, reflector, and control architecture.
• Own criticality, reactivity coefficients, kinetics, depletion, and cycle length.
• Establish shutdown-margin and criticality-safety cases across fuel life cycle.
• Maintain the criticality base deck and SCALE calculation catalog.
• Develop core and coolant source terms and set activation/decommissioning terms.
• Design primary/secondary shields and map doses for a space-constrained vessel.
• Analyze radiation streaming using variance reduction techniques.
• Supply neutronics inputs to design-basis accident doses.
