Job summary

BlueCore Energy is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to turn analysis into hardware on our Long Beach, CA site. You will plan experimental tests, size components with thermal-hydraulic insight, engage vendors, and generate NX CAD models and drawings for subsystems.

You will work hands-on in a startup-like environment, collaborating with nuclear, thermal, and software teams to push our marine SMR concepts forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years hands-on CAD experience (NX preferred) with drawing generation and GD&T.
• Exposure to hardware testing, component sizing, or vendor interaction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform experimental testing of components and sub-systems.
• Size components using thermal-hydraulics analysis and engage vendors.
• Build and maintain NX CAD models and generate component drawings.
• Design with marine environment in mind: vibration, corrosion, and tight space constraints.
• Collaborate across nuclear, thermal, and software teams.
