Job summary

Radiant, based in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Nuclear Engineer to lead design and analysis for Kaleidos microreactor. You will tackle shielding, neutronics, dose/consequence, and transient analyses, and drive engineering initiatives in a fast-paced startup setting.

Ideal candidates have a nuclear engineering degree with 1–2+ years of experience, and skills in MCNP/OpenMC/Serpent, Python, and C/C#. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential. Onsite presence required at El Segundo HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering or equivalent.
• 1-2+ years of nuclear engineering industry experience.
• Experience with radiation transport methods using MCNP/OpenMC/Serpent.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, C#, FORTRAN or similar.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of Nuclear design and analysis, including shielding, neutronics, dose/consequence and transient analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers across functions and communicate findings clearly.
• Perform other nuclear design and analysis duties as assigned.
