Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Ports and Marine Senior Lead Engineer/Project Manager to lead structural analysis and design for port and Navy projects across multiple U.S. locations, including California, Texas, Florida, North Carolina.

The role involves mentoring engineers, attending client meetings, and delivering plans, specifications, and cost estimates. The ideal candidate holds a Professional Engineer license and a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, with 10+ years in marine structures,

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in analysis and design of port structures.
Professional Engineer License required.
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Responsibilities

Independently perform and supervise structural analysis and design for marine and upland components.
Independently perform and supervise berthing and mooring analyses.
Lead development of plans, specifications, schedules and cost estimates for port and Navy projects.
Understand maritime codes and references including UFC, PIANC, ASCE-61.
Independently prepare basis of design, design calculations, technical reports, alternatives analysis, and study reports.
Understand interdisciplinary requirements for port projects and perform QA/QC reviews.
Attend client meetings and perform site visits.
Mentor developing port and maritime engineers.
Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and policies.
