Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Cottage Grove, MN seeks a Manufacturing Team Lead 1st Shift (5X8) to direct a production line of 5–40 associates. You will coach, train, and drive AMS-based improvements to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost goals.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, plus lean or CI familiarity. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for daily Tier1 meetings and cross‑functional support.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing operations.
• Lean training or certification preferred.
• Knowledge of operations, processes and equipment including safety and quality basics.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate others.
• Strong problem solving, delegation, and decision making.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous production flow to meet planned output with safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Identify issues, escalate to Tier 2 and partner with Value Stream Supervisors.
• Facilitate training and development of production employees and maintain cross-training.
• Lead daily Tier1 meetings to drive engagement and performance.
• Provide support to other production areas as needed and coordinate staffing.
• Complete standard work and audits; drive corrective actions from MCA process.
• Enforce safety procedures and address safety concerns promptly.
